Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant Location: South Gloucestershire, BS35 Start Date: January 2025 Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary with the view to go Permanent About the Role: Axcis Education is collaborating with an exceptional primary SEN school in South Gloucestershire to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This role focuses on supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment that prioritises individualised learning and personal growth. Requirements: • Experience working with SEND or SEMH students is required in a working or personal capacity. • Patience, adaptability and a caring, supportive attitude are essential. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to manage challenging behaviour with a calm and proactive approach. Who We’re Looking For: Candidates with experience in the following are encouraged to apply: • Nurseries, schools, or youth settings. • Residential or care homes. • Personal SEND experience. • Sociology, psychology, sports, arts, or drama graduates. Additional Information: • Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. • Pay: £83.40 per day. • This is a full-time role starting in January 2025.
