Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant (ASD & SEMH) – Mossley (OL5) – Immediate Start

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a temporary, full-time placement in a local primary school in Mossley (OL5). This role offers an immediate start and is ideal for someone with a nurturing, patient approach who thrives in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Role Details:
Location: Mossley (OL5)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £89 - £100 per day
Job Type: Full-time, temporary position
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD and SEMH needs
- Assisting with the implementation of individual learning plans tailored to student needs
- Using de-escalation and behaviour management techniques to support positive behaviour
- Supporting emotional well-being, confidence, and independence among students
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver effective support
- Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with ASD, SEMH, or other additional needs (preferred)
- A strong understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine interest in supporting children with SEND
