Axcis Education is currently working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Stockport, to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible, to support a child in Year 5 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. The role involves providing consistent 1:1 support, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, and helping the pupil engage with learning while managing emotional regulation and behaviour in a positive, structured way. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children who have SEMH needs or display challenging behaviour. A calm, resilient and proactive attitude is essential, along with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
