Salary: £13.69 per hour+
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Axcis Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded special school in East London to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and complex needs.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will play a vital role in helping children achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex medical and learning needs
Assisting with personal care, including toileting and feeding
Supporting pupils with mobility needs, sometimes involving hoisting
Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals

Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEND
A calm, patient and empathetic approach
Willingness to carry out personal care
Excellent communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply through Axcis)
