SEND Teaching Assistant – Christchurch (January 2026 Start) Location: Christchurch, Dorset Pay: £90–£95 per day Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only Setting: Specialist SEND Provision (Maximum 10 Pupils) Axcis Education is recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive specialist provision in Christchurch from January 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate SEND practitioner to work in a small, nurturing environment with no more than 10 pupils, allowing you to make a genuine, long-lasting impact. The provision supports pupils with ASC, SEMH, communication needs, and other complex learning profiles through a therapeutic, relationship-based approach. About the Role Full-time SEND TA position starting January 2026 Working in a specialist, well-resourced SEND provision with 10 pupils maximum Providing consistent 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASC, SEMH, and communication needs Supporting pupils through structured routines, emotional regulation, and personalised learning Working alongside a skilled teacher and a warm, collaborative team of SEND practitioners Contributing to a calm, safe, and encouraging setting where pupils feel secure and understood This provision values consistency, positivity, and genuine enthusiasm.
