SEND Teaching Assistant (Primary & Secondary – Complex Needs)
Location: Islington
Pay: £14.25 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: Full-time and part-time roles available

About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support primary and secondary students with complex needs in Islington.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to develop both academically and socially in a safe, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with complex SEND needs
Support pupils across both primary and secondary age groups
Assist with personal care, ensuring dignity, safety, and well-being at all times
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
Help deliver adapted learning strategies to meet individual needs
Promote a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Requirements
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly complex needs
Comfortable providing personal care support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
