Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
We are currently looking for a caring, enthusiastic and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistant to join an all-through specialist SEND school in Slough.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, supporting them both in the classroom and throughout their daily routines. The school caters for pupils with varying levels of need, from moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through to Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
You will be supporting pupils across different age groups and ability levels, so flexibility and the ability to adapt your approach to suit individual needs are essential. The role will involve providing 1:1 and small group support, encouraging engagement in learning, promoting communication and independence, and helping pupils to access a positive and inclusive school experience.
Candidates must also be comfortable providing personal care, as some pupils will require assistance with their daily care routines. This must be approached with patience, dignity and sensitivity.
Previous experience supporting children or adults with SEND is essential. We are keen to hear from individuals who are compassionate, reliable and resilient, and who are confident working with pupils with a variety of complex needs. You should be willing to get involved, take a flexible approach and work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent, individualised support.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a daily rate of £92.63.
If you have experience within SEND and are passionate about helping children and young people reach their potential, this could be a great opportunity for you. Apply today to be considered for this rewarding role!
