As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in diverse and vibrant school communities. Your role will involve covering lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity in students' education during staff absences. This position offers the flexibility and variety of working in different classroom settings, providing a unique and rewarding teaching experience. You will be supporting 12-16 pupils in a mainstream school. For this role we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated candidate, who will be working with the pupils to provide a caring and supportive learning environment. Enabling the pupils to grow and develop to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), challenging behaviour, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a key stage supply teacher, you will be playing a vital role in shaping young minds and creating that safe learning environment they need. You will be supporting pupils in both the SEND classes and the lower-level classes. This role will involve reading, explaining, and clarifying work and encouraging students to achieve in a safe environment where good behaviour is maintained. All of the lessons are planned and you will be teaching basic subjects in small class sizes. This is a full-time cover post which is starting September, Monday – Friday on supply.
