This can be as much or as little as you like and you can flex up and down each week depending on what you need. Work can be in any primary, secondary or special needs school and whilst car drivers are always great, Bristol has enough buses that public transport works fine. Working hours are 8:30-3:30 and whilst we can be flexible should you not be able to start till 9 for example, we can not consider anyone looking for 9:30-2:30 since most schools simply won't accept those hours. Experience working with children is required, but that does not mean it has to be from working at another school. We are looking for people that can follow instructions and be flexible to a schools needs. Empathy, patience and resilience are traits the right applicants will have. Work will vary between offering general support in the classroom along with supporting children on a 1:1 basis. To work with children you will need to hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared and willing to apply for one should you not currently have one.
