Position: SEND Teacher (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) Location: Kingston, London Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday?–?Friday, 8:30?am?–?4:00?pm) Salary: Paid to Scale Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our inclusive primary/secondary setting in Kingston. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction for pupils with a range of additional needs, fostering academic progress, independence, and confidence within a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare and deliver tailored lessons in line with the National Curriculum and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). • Conduct regular assessments, monitor progress, and adapt strategies to meet each learner’s targets. • Work closely with class teachers, support staff and external agencies to coordinate interventions and ensure consistent provision. • Lead or co-lead small-group and one-to-one sessions, utilizing evidence-based SEN methodologies. • Contribute to whole-school SEND policy development, safeguarding, and inclusive culture initiatives. • Maintain accurate records, produce timely reports for parents and stakeholders, and attend multidisciplinary meetings as required. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – preferably with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) endorsement. • Minimum 2?years experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting. • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and best-practice interventions. • Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills.
