Teaching Assistant - 1:1/SEND - Primary/KS2 - Salford | Salford | SEN TA Jobs
JOB TITLE / ROLE:
Teaching Assistant - 1:1/SEND - Primary/KS2 - Salford - Salford - Role: SEN TA Jobs
Axcis Education is proud to be representing a primary school based in Salford that is looking for a teaching assistant to support a student with suspected autism (ASD).
The ideal teaching assistant will have experience supporting young children with SEND. An understanding of ASD is essential, along with specific experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. An understanding of PECs again is a desirable attribute for the teaching assistant to have, although the school are in a position to provide basic training for this. This role would be working 1:1 with a student in Year 4.
This smaller than average primary school has passionate senior leaders that strive for a happy, positive place to learn for all their pupils. Strong CPD and support is in place for all staff; this is particularly highlighted by the high staff retention rate of the school. Behaviour of pupils is another strong area for the school and this can be attributed to the positive relationships and mutual respect between staff, children and parents alike.
This role is full-time, would begin after Easter and would run until the end of the academic year. This being said, the school can be flexible with regards to the start date, so an early start date is a possibility.
This is a temporary position.
