Job Title: Teaching Assistant in an Alternative Provision
Are you a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant, passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Axcis Education are working with a unique alternative provision in North Bristol that offers a nurturing environment for pupils with complex SEMH needs. Set on beautiful grounds, the school embraces outdoor learning to support students who struggle with emotional and social development, some of whom face extreme behavioural challenges. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, supporting pupils who require a high level of resilience, patience, and creativity to re-engage them with their learning. What we're looking for: • Experience working with children with SEMH or related behavioural challenges • Exceptional resilience and emotional strength • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to maintain calm in high-pressure situations • A genuine passion for making a difference in children's lives • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) The school provides an opportunity to work in a supportive environment that is truly committed to its pupils.
