About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will play a vital role in supporting students across various year groups. You will be expected to work alongside classroom teachers to facilitate an inclusive and supportive learning environment, helping to meet the needs of students from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities. In this role, you will:
- Provide Classroom Support: Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons, working with small groups and individual students to reinforce learning objectives.
- Work Across Year Groups: Gain valuable experience by supporting different year groups, adapting to the varying educational and developmental needs of each class.
- Supervise During Lunchtimes: Ensure students have a safe and positive lunchtime experience, supporting their social interactions and managing playground activities.
- Assist with SEN Requirements: Work closely with students who may need extra support, including those with additional learning needs or SEND requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting young learners. You should have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to helping them achieve their full potential. Key attributes and requirements include:
- Relevant Level 2 Qualification: Essential for supporting educational activities and working in partnership with teachers.
- Experience in a Primary School Setting: Previous experience in a primary school, particularly with Key Stages 1 and 2, is desirable.
- Strong Communication Skills: Able to engage effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working with different age groups and quickly adapting to various classroom dynamics.
