Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Secondary (SEMH & Behaviour Support) Location: Nailsea Pay Rate: £92.00 – £109.00 per day Job Type: Full-time – Term Time Only (Temporary or Long-term) Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday) Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a well-established secondary school in Nailsea, supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support to succeed. About the Role: This is a rewarding and varied role supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will work closely with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life. The school is a large, inclusive secondary setting with a strong focus on student wellbeing, personal development, and academic success. It offers a modern learning environment designed to promote openness, safety, and engagement, alongside a wide range of specialist facilities and resources to support student development. You will play a key role in building positive relationships, supporting emotional regulation, and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
