Key Responsibilities: • Supporting individual students or small groups of children with SEND, both in class and during one-on-one interventions. • Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of tailored lessons, ensuring all students are engaged and achieving their potential. • Helping to create and implement individualized learning plans (ILPs) for SEND children. • Providing personal care and support where necessary. • Encouraging the social, emotional, and behavioural development of children. • Working closely with the SENDCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to monitor and track students' progress. • Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Key Requirements: • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND, is desirable. • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and well-being. • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of each child. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • A proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative when required. • Ideally, a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – although this is not essential. • A child and adult enhanced DBS is required (if you do not have one, we can assist with the process) If you are passionate about supporting children with, SEND and have the skills to make a positive impact on their learning journey, we would love to hear from you.
