Job Title: Teaching Assistant, SEND
Axcis Education is currently looking for primary and secondary teaching assistants for ongoing work in the Wigan area. Working in both mainstream and special educational needs settings across the area, there is both full and part time vacancies available, working between the hours of 08:30 – 15:30. If successful you will be required to work closely with pupils of all ages, who have various special educational needs. The roles would involve providing support to the class teacher, taking a creative approach to support the delivery of various learning plans, ensuring your pupils reach their maximum potential. The range of needs that are covered is very diverse and you must be able to adapt to the different needs of each child. You will be working alongside teams of excellent, supportive staff. This role is ideal for graduates, sports coaches and care workers who wish to gain experience working with children within classroom settings. Whilst some experience working with children or young adults is preferred it is not essential. The most important thing is you will be attentive, positive and patient. This a challenging role suited to someone who has excellent behaviour management skills. Pay is typically between £12 and £13 per hour, though this is flexible depending on experience and level of responsibility.
