Job Title: Teaching assistant
Teaching Assistant – Special Needs School (Hounslow)
Location: Hounslow, West London
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: From £95 per day (with potential for progression)
Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We’re looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded special needs school in Hounslow, working with students aged 4–16 in a structured, nurturing setting.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
– Provide targeted 1:1 or small group behaviour support to students with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges
– Work in a dedicated learning space designed to support students' emotional regulation and academic progress
– Collaborate with experienced educators and support staff to maintain a safe, inclusive environment
– Play a vital role in helping students build confidence, independence, and life skills
What We’re Looking For
– Previous experience in a SEND or care-based role
– Team Teach certification (essential) to ensure safe and effective behaviour management
– A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with complex needs
– A genuine passion for helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential
