Pay Rate: £90 - £95 per day (PAYE)
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Are you passionate about providing quality support to young learners and seeking a rewarding role in education? We are searching for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to become a valuable part of a vibrant primary school team in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Provide targeted support to children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities, particularly those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop learning materials that cater to the needs of all students.
- Encourage a positive learning environment by engaging with students both academically and through extracurricular activities.
- Monitor and track pupil progress, reporting back to the class teacher any concerns or achievements.
- Help to manage classroom behavior by implementing school discipline policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Knowledge of SEND and SEMH provision and strategies to support children with these needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with a nurturing and patient approach to student development.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers and other educational professionals.
- Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt to various learning needs.
