Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Manchester (PRU)
Start: September 2025 | Pay: £89–£105/day
We are seeking a skilled teaching assistant to join our Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester. The successful Teaching Assistant will support students with ADHD, SEMH needs, and other barriers to learning, providing structured and targeted assistance to help them engage in lessons and develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support as a teaching assistant to students with ADHD and additional needs
- Implement structured routines, visual schedules, and strategies to ease transitions
- Provide positive reinforcement and feedback to encourage progress
- Assist students during emotional or behavioural challenges with calm, consistent interventions
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop behaviour and learning strategies
Requirements:
- Patience, observation skills, and an understanding of SEMH and ADHD needs
- Ability to create low-distraction learning areas and structured classroom spaces
- Experience in education, PRU, or SEMH support roles preferred
