This is a long-term role running until July 2026, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school is looking for a proactive and academically confident individual who can support pupils preparing for their GCSE examinations, delivering targeted interventions and helping to raise attainment across core subjects. Key Responsibilities • Provide targeted KS4 support, focusing particularly on GCSE intervention in core subjects. • Deliver small-group and 1:1 academic interventions to address gaps in knowledge. • Assist teachers in planning and adapting resources for exam-focused learning. • Support students with revision, exam techniques and subject-specific challenges. • Monitor progress and contribute to intervention tracking and assessments. • Build positive relationships to motivate learners and promote strong study habits. • Help maintain a focused, productive and supportive classroom environment. Requirements • Experience supporting secondary-aged students, ideally within KS4. • Strong subject knowledge across English, Maths and/or Science. • Ability to deliver structured academic support and intervention sessions. • Confident communication and rapport-building skills. • A patient, supportive and professional approach with high expectations. • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
