Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)

About the Role
Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This full-time position is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting children with additional needs, particularly those who may present with challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will demonstrate a calm, patient, and consistent approach, supporting the child’s learning, emotional regulation, and inclusion within the classroom.
You will work closely with the class teacher and the school’s SEN team to ensure the child can engage positively with learning and thrive within the school environment.

Key Requirements
-Proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD
-Demonstrable experience managing and responding to challenging behaviour
-Ability to use effective behaviour regulation and de-escalation strategies
-Experience providing 1:1 support in a classroom setting
-UK classroom experience is essential
-Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
-Calm, patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
-Ability to commit to full-time hours
-Available to start immediately
