Job Title: Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant – 1:1 ASD Support Location: Hackney, East London Job Type: Full-time, Long-term Salary: £89 per day upwards Start: 23/02/26 Description: Axcis are working with a mainstream primary school in Hackney that is looking to appoint an SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with autism. The role is a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant position, supporting a child who can become overwhelmed by noise and transitions and requires consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day. The SEND Teaching Assistant will help with emotional regulation, engagement in learning, and keeping the pupil safe and focused. This SEND Teaching Assistant role would suit someone with experience supporting children with autism, ASD, ADHD or additional needs, either in a school, care, youth work or support setting. A calm, patient and proactive approach is essential.
