Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Teddington, Greater London Employment Type: Full-time (Monday?–?Friday) Hours: 08:00?–?15:30 Salary: Paid to scale (according to national teaching assistant banding) Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, reliable Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Teddington. Working closely with classroom teachers, you will help create a supportive learning environment that encourages student achievement and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities • Support teachers in delivering the curriculum across all year groups. • Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance to pupils, reinforcing lesson material and fostering confidence. • Supervise pupils during classroom activities, lunchtime, and school outings, ensuring safety and positive behaviour. • Aid in the preparation of teaching resources, marking, and record-keeping. • Contribute to the implementation of differentiated strategies to meet diverse learning needs. • Encourage parental communication and assist with progress reports when required. Essential Qualifications & Skills • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics at grade?4/C or above. • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting (school, college, or community). • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to motivate learners. • Familiarity with safeguarding policies and a commitment to child protection. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a dynamic school environment. Desirable • Level?2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. • Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support.
