Job Title: Year 1 Teacher
Location: Slough
Start Date: 1st June 2026
Contract: Temporary (until at least the end of the academic year)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Slough from 1st June 2026. This is a temporary position to cover staff absence, continuing through to at least the end of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a meaningful impact during a key stage in pupils’ development, delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
Assess, record, and report on pupil progress
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
Fulfil all teaching duties, including marking, assessment, and participation in school activities
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting
Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
Excellent classroom management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
