Job Title: Youth Support Worker
Axcis Education is working closely with a specialist SEND school near Wakefield which provides education for secondary-aged pupils with EHCPs for Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Autism, and Attachment Disorders. We are currently seeking a full-time Youth Support Worker to start as soon as possible, with the role continuing until the end of the academic year. This setting takes a holistic approach to education, tailoring each student’s curriculum to their hobbies, interests, and skills. The classrooms are diverse, with provisions including on-site facilities, community spaces, and, if necessary, the student’s home environment. Each student follows a bespoke curriculum, covering core subjects alongside a range of foundation subjects and activities, including woodwork, animal care, horticulture, and sports. Key Details: Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 16:00pm Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire Pay: £90.00 - £105.00 per day, depending on experience. Contract: Initially until the end of the academic year, with potential for a permanent role if you are a good fit. The school is looking for a Youth Support Worker who is compassionate, reliable, adaptable, and resilient, with professional experience working with SEMH, Autism, or Attachment Disorder in an Education or Childrens Residential Setting.
