Job Title: Youth Worker, experience in Challenging Behaviour
Axcis Education is currently working with an outstanding school in Haringey who are looking for a full-time youth worker to provide one-to-one support for a teenage boy with challenging behaviour. The school is a dynamic and passionate organisation dedicated to supporting young people facing challenges in their lives. Key Responsibilities: • Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the young person, establishing rapport and understanding their needs. • Develop and implement personalised support plans to address behavioural challenges and promote positive change. • Engage the young person in constructive activities and opportunities for personal growth, both within and outside of the classroom. • Work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the young person's care. Requirements: -Experience working with young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals. -Understanding of safeguarding principles and commitment to promoting the welfare of young people. -Resilience and adaptability to respond effectively to challenging situations. -Relevant qualifications or training in youth work, social work, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
