Job Advertisement: 1:1 Teaching Assistant for Child with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: Chorley Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Start Date: September 2024 Axcis are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a school and support a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is a full-time, long-term position that requires a strong commitment to helping the child achieve their full potential in a supportive and structured environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASC, tailored to their individual needs and learning style. • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child remains engaged and focused. • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies. • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor and review the child’s progress. • Encourage social interaction and communication skills development. • Help manage any challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism. • Support the child in both academic and extracurricular activities.
