Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant – Primary School | LEO Academy Trust | Surrey | ASAP Start We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school within the LEO Academy Trust in Surrey. Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Supply TA / Supply Learning Support Assistant Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: £97 per day PAYE This is a great opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant looking for primary school supply work in Surrey. The role will involve supporting pupils across the primary age range, with the potential for the supply placement to develop into an ongoing or long-term role. The Role – Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will: Support the class teacher within a mainstream primary classroom Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs Assist pupils across different primary year groups and key stages Support learning activities and classroom organisation Help pupils develop confidence, independence and engagement Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment Work closely with teachers, support staff and other members of the school team Requirements Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or classroom support worker in a UK primary school is essential Experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs is advantageous Strong communication and teamwork skills A patient, proactive and supportive approach Ability to build positive relationships with primary-aged children Flexibility to work across different primary year groups Reliable and committed to supporting pupils' learning and wellbeing About the School The successful candidate will work within a welcoming mainstream primary school that is part of the LEO Academy Trust.
