Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? A secondary school in Uxbridge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This rewarding, temporary position involves supporting students with moderate to severe needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Learning Disabilities, and Speech and Language Needs. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure each student’s individual needs are met, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key responsibilities include: • Assisting students with personal care (all candidates must be comfortable with this requirement). • Providing tailored support during lessons and activities. • Encouraging communication and social development. • Contributing to the school’s overall mission of empowering students with severe needs.
