Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant
ASD Teaching Assistant We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1-1 support to a 6 year old student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties in a primary school in East London. You’ll be playing a vital role in helping this student access the curriculum and develop essential life skills. Duties include • Provide 1-1 support to a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties, adapting to their unique needs and abilities • Work closely with the class teacher and develop and implement personalised learning plans • Support the student in developing communication, social and life skills • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers and parents/carers • Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and other support staff Requirements • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties • Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties and how to effectively manage students • Enhanced Barred List DBS About Axcis Recruitment We are a leading recruitment agency specialising in the SEND Education sector.
