Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Salary: Paid to Scale Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wandsworth, London. The ideal candidate will work closely with students on the autism spectrum, providing essential support to enable them to thrive in a structured educational environment. Key Responsibilities: • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities that accommodate diverse learning needs. • Support students in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills. • Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and participation. • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress in collaboration with teaching staff. • Assist in the management of classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere. • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the student's education. Qualifications: • Relevant experience in a similar role or working with children with ASD is preferred. • A caring attitude and a commitment to inclusion and diversity in education. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Relevant educational qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualifications) are a plus.
