Axcis Education is recruiting for an Autism Classroom Support Assistant at an esteemed Special School in Patchway. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for somebody looking to support students with autism in a structured, supportive environment.
About the Role:
As an Autism Classroom Support professional, you will work closely with students to have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to support their learning and and development. Your role will involve assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning plans, helping students with emotional and social challenges and providing one-to-one and group support.
• Provide support for students with autism, assisting with their learning, social skills and emotional regulation.
• Implement strategies to support communication, social interaction and independence.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Support students to manage challenging behaviours, using positive reinforcement and appropriate interventions.
• Track and report on student progress, contributing to planning meetings and reviews.
