Axcis Education is seeking a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with challenging behaviours in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hartcliffe, Bristol. This is a full-time, term-time only position (8:30-3:30, Monday to Friday), offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young learners. The Role: • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. • Implementing behaviour management strategies to support pupils in regulating their emotions. • Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to create a structured and nurturing environment. • Supporting pupils to engage with learning and develop positive relationships. • Encouraging resilience, independence, and self-confidence in pupils. The Ideal Candidate: • Experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs is highly desirable. • A patient, proactive, and understanding approach to working with children. • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. • A team player with excellent communication skills. • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
