Job Title: Specific Learning Difficulties Teaching Assistant, Sandwell
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in the Sandwell area.
This full-time position is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). If you are patient, calm, and encouraging, this could be the role for you!
Key Details:
• Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Salary: Starting at £89 per day (depending on experience)
• Location: Sandwell B68
The Role:
• Provide 1:1 support and assist in small group settings.
• Support students with SLD and PMLD in their daily learning and activities.
• Foster a calm, positive, and encouraging environment for children to thrive.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
• Help students develop both academically and socially, promoting their overall well-being.
Ideal Candidate:
• Previous school experience, particularly in supporting children with specific needs.
• Understanding of SLD and PMLD and the unique challenges these students face.
• A patient, calm, and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for helping children reach their full potential.
