Job Title: Classroom Assistant (Challenging Behaviour)
Location: Slough
Pay: £13.69 per hour
Hours: 08:15 - 15:45, Monday to Friday
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Slough. This role will be based within the school’s dedicated SEND unit, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including challenging behaviour and some personal care requirements.
About the role:
Supporting primary-aged children within the SEND unit
Assisting pupils who present challenging behaviour, using strong behaviour management strategies
Providing personal care where required, ensuring pupils’ dignity and wellbeing are maintained
Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
? Extensive experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a primary or specialist setting
? A can-do attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
? Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
? Professionalism, patience and a warm, empathetic approach
? Confidence in delivering tailored support to help pupils achieve their potential
