Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is collaborating with a distinguished college in Radstock to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant. This full-time role involves providing one-to-one support to students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) within a specialist centre at the Somer Valley Campus, as well as across broader college settings, including construction, animal care, and mechanics departments. The position is available for an immediate start and offers a pathway to a permanent role following an initial settling-in period. The daily pay rate is £89. Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experience of students with PMLD. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalised support, ensuring that each student can access and engage with their curriculum effectively. This support will be extended across various departments, reflecting the college's commitment to inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: • Individualised Support: Work closely with students on a one-to-one basis, tailoring assistance to meet their unique needs and learning objectives. • Collaborative Engagement: Liaise with educators and support staff across diverse departments to facilitate an inclusive learning environment. • Holistic Development: Assist in the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills, fostering a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
