Job Title: Core Subject Learning Support (SEMH Focus)
Location: Orpington Contract: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) Pay: £85 - £100 PAYE per day Hours: Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to provide academic and emotional support to students across English, Maths, Science, and PSHE, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential. to join our supportive and dynamic team. Our provision supports Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 pupils. Key Responsibilities: - Provide targeted 1:1 and small group in the following subjects English, Maths, Science, and PSHE - Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons - Help pupils develop self-confidence and engage positively in their learning. - Support the social and emotional development of pupils in a nurturing and structured environment. - Offer classroom management assistance and maintain positive learning environments. - Work closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and tailor interventions. Essential Requirements: - At least an A-Level qualification in English or Maths or Science or PSHE (Degree in any or a related subject is highly desirable). - Previous experience working in an educational setting (preferably with SEMH learners). - Passion for working with young people with additional needs. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
