Job Title: Trauma Learning Mentor
Axcis Education are supporting an independent SEND provision who are looking for a full time Trauma Learning Mentor to support in an Independent Specialist Provision in Newton Abbot. The position is to start in January 2026 (or sooner f possible). The working hours for this role are from 8.30 to 16:00, with pay rate ranging from £90-£115 a day, depending on your previous SEND experience and qualifications. To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience forming relationships with children and/or adults with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. You will have experience of supporting people with trauma is desirable but not essential. Additionally, you will need to be resilient and calm under pressure, navigating your way through circumstances when students may dysregulate. Key Responsibilities •Using relational practice methods to form positive relationships with students. •Support the educational and personal development of secondary aged students with complex needs. •Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a holistic learning experience. •Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
