Job Title: Flexible Teaching Assistant – SEND
Are you looking for a flexible role where you can gain valuable experience supporting children and young people with special educational needs?
Axcis Education is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to provide ad hoc cover across a variety of schools in Bristol, starting mid-January.
The Role
As a flexible Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Work on a fully flexible basis, choosing 1–5 days per week to suit your availability.
• Support pupils with SEND across primary, secondary, special schools and colleges.
• Provide 1:1 support, small group work and in-class assistance.
• Work with pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and more.
• Gain hands-on experience in a variety of educational settings – ideal for those exploring a long-term career in SEND.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children or young people (SEND experience desirable but not essential).
• Is adaptable, positive and proactive.
• Can build rapport quickly with pupils and school staff.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
