Job Title: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant
Full-Time Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School | Chingford (E4)
Start Date: Early October 2025 (after half-term)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full-time | Long-term
Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Chingford (E4) that is deeply committed to supporting students with autism and complex learning needs. They are now seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join their team from early October.
In this rewarding role, you will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping students with autism to access the curriculum, regulate their emotions, and build essential life skills in a nurturing environment.
What we're looking for:
-Experience working with young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or complex needs
-Confidence using strategies like PECS, Makaton, or visual supports
-A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach, particularly when managing challenging behaviour
-A proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills
