The school has a strong focus on early years education and is dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Job Overview: We are seeking multiple full-time Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join the school's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) department. These positions are to commence in September and are long-term roles. The successful candidates will work one-on-one with pupils who have autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities: -Provide individualised support to pupils with autism and SEMH within the EYFS department. -Assist in implementing personalized learning plans and adapting resources to meet the specific needs of each pupil. -Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging social interaction and engagement in learning activities. -Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting any concerns or developments to the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). -Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting each pupil’s learning and development. Qualifications and Experience: -Previous experience working with children with autism and SEMH needs is essential. -A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3) is highly desirable. -Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and the ability to implement it effectively. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
