Start Date: ASAP Location: Wolverhampton Position Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) Pay: From £89 per day Long-term work available We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant / Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive school in Wolverhampton. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working with children who require additional support within a nurturing school environment. You will be working closely with non-verbal children and pupils with Autism providing tailored support to help them access learning and develop socially and emotionally. Personal care is required as part of this role. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC and additional needs • Support non-verbal children using appropriate communication strategies • Assist with personal care routines where required • Help implement and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) • Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Requirements: • Experience working with non-verbal children and ASC is essential • Previous school or nursery-based experience is essential • Nursery Practitioner qualification desirable • Qualified or experienced Teaching Assistants encouraged to apply • Willingness and confidence to carry out personal care • Patient, compassionate, and flexible approach • Strong communication and teamwork skills • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming school where your skills and dedication will make a real difference to children’s lives.
