Job Title: Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistants – Croydon (ASAP Start)
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming mainstream primary setting in Croydon. These are full-time, 1:1 support roles, working closely with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Position Details:
• Role: SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 support)
• Location: Croydon
• Start Date: ASAP
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
• Contract: Full-time
About the Role:
You will be supporting individual pupils with SEND within a mainstream classroom environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey by providing tailored support, helping them access learning, and promoting their social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND
• Assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities
• Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have experience working with children with SEND (preferred but not essential)
• Be patient, empathetic, and proactive
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Be committed to supporting children’s development and wellbeing
