HLTA – Autism Resource Provision – Primary – Havering
£110–£135 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | Trial ASAP
Axcis are supporting a well-regarded primary school in Havering with a dedicated Autism Resource Provision (ARP), who are seeking an experienced and confident HLTA to join their specialist SEND team.
The ARP is well-structured, calm and highly supportive, with a strong emphasis on routine, communication and individualised learning. The school has invested in its SEND provision and offers a collaborative working environment.
About the Role
You will be working within the ARP, supporting pupils with autism and communication needs, while also taking on additional responsibility as an HLTA.
You will:
• Deliver structured learning sessions and interventions
• Support pupils with communication and sensory needs
• Lead small group activities and occasionally cover lessons
• Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff
• Support EHCP targets and progress tracking
What We’re Looking For
• HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience
• Experience supporting autism (ARP or special school desirable)
• Understanding of structured teaching approaches
• Confident leading groups and managing routines
• Calm, organised and proactive approach
