Job Title: KS4 Teacher (QTS), SEMH School
Axcis are working with a school supporting individuals facing Social Emotional and Mental Health Challenges (SEMH) based in the Edgbaston Area; they are on the search for a qualified teacher with QTS with expertise on the National Curriculum for Key Stage 4. The school caters to individuals aged 14-16 years who can display very challenging behaviours due to their lived experiences. The successful applicant will start work in early September 2025 and will be required to work on a full-time basis (8am-4pm, Monday to Friday). This is the perfect opportunity for a teacher with QTS (qualified teacher status) and experience of working with individuals who have faced difficult times through their young lives and can display challenging behaviours to continue or step into a new career path and play their part in steering these young people’s lives onto a positive trajectory. The school is well equipped with clinical staff including counsellors and therapists as well as the facilities required to support individuals that have lived through challenging life experiences through therapeutic approaches. The successful applicant will also be well-versed in creating, implementing, and reassessing behaviour management strategies.
