Job Title: Learning Support Assistant, ASC Specific KS2-4 SEND School, Full-Time
Axcis is working with an Autism specific SEND school in the Erdington area. The schools supports children and young people aged 7 to 16 years across Key Stages 2 to 4. The school has a support staff vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience of working with individuals with a lead diagnosis of Autism (ASC) with a range of more specific needs such as sensory processing, challenging behaviour and communication delays including non-verbal communication.
Job details:
• Supporting Autistic pupils, with specific needs such as sensory processing, challenging behaviour and communication delays including non-verbal communication
• Working on a one to one and small group basis
• Full time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
• Start September 2025
• Ongoing basis for the 2025/26 academic year
Requirements:
• Experience of working with Autistic individuals – Essential
• Experience of supporting specific needs such as sensory processing, challenging behaviour and communication delays including non-verbal communication - Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
