Job Title: Learning Support Assistant, Mainstream Secondary
Calling all experienced Learning Support Assistants! Axcis are pleased to be working with a fantastic mainstream secondary school in Taunton who are seeking experiences Learning Support Assistants to support on a full-time basis! About the Role: The role will require adaptability, resilience and proactivity as you support a range of pupils with varying needs, including ADHD, Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will provide a mix of individualised, one to one support and small group intervention work to help individuals thrive and engage socially, emotionally and academically. Key responsibilities include: • Setting up learning resources and activities. • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. • Help with classroom management, behaviour support, and student engagement. • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher. • Monitor children during break times to ensure safety and positive interactions. • Attend staff or SENCO meetings if scheduled. • Liaising with teachers, pastoral staff and parents/carers to support student progress and well-being. Key Details: Salary: £89 per day Hours: 8.15am – 3.30pm Contract Type: Full-time with potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.
