Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant
Location: St Austell
Pay: £13.70-£15 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join a dedicated team in a school in St Austell who provide a creative and ambitious learning environment for over 100 pupils aged 2–19 with a wide range of complex learning and communication needs.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, caring, and reliable Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to support the pupils during their lunch break. This key role focuses on the individual care and support of the pupils, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and engagement in a positive lunchtime experience.
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD and communication difficulties, during lunch breaks
• Encouraging positive social interactions and promoting independence
• Assisting with feeding and personal care where required
• Working collaboratively with the wider staff team to maintain a safe and nurturing environment
The candidate:
• Is calm, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting children with additional needs
• Has experience working with pupils with autism or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrates a proactive and flexible approach to the needs of the school
• Has a current Enhanced DBS
