About the Role
We are seeking an organised, reliable, and experienced Office Manager to join our friendly and inclusive primary school in N4. This is a key administrative role, supporting the day-to-day running of the school office and working closely with the Headteacher, School Business Manager, and wider staff team.
The successful candidate will ensure the school office operates efficiently, providing a welcoming first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the school office, ensuring smooth and efficient administration.
Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies.
Oversee pupil records, attendance, admissions support, and data management.
Support HR administration, including staff records and recruitment paperwork.
Manage correspondence, diaries, and communications.
Support finance administration, including purchase orders and invoice processing.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, including visitor checks and record-keeping.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as a School Office Manager, Senior Administrator, or similar role within a school.
Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident use of school management systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, ScholarPack or similar).
Professional, calm, and approachable manner.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
Experience in a primary school setting.
Knowledge of attendance procedures and local authority requirements.
Familiarity with finance and HR processes within a school.
