Job Title: Primary Teacher,Specialist Autism School, St Helen's
Axcis education has an exciting opportunity for a qualified primary school teacher; this role will be working in an autism unit that is based in a mainstream primary school, based in St Helen's.
This role will be full time and ongoing, and there is a strong possibility for this role to go permanent. For this primary teacher role, working hours will be 8:30- 16:00pm, Monday to Friday. This particular role will involve working with ks1 and 2 children, who are on the autism spectrum, and will involve forming lesson plans that should adhere to each pupils EHC plan.
This is a really exciting opportunity to work in a really specialized, well supported autism unit. The successful candidate for this role will be required to work with a small class of 3-4 pupils at one time. This school has had a recent OFSTED rating of ‘good’, due to the hard work of the staff in this autism unit.
This unit has some really excellent facilities, it has multiple sensory rooms for pupils to use, and it is a 10 minute walk from the nearest train station. To be considered for this primary teaching role, candidates must be a qualified teacher with a QTS and will also have experience working in primary schools. The successful candidate would also ideally have experience with implementing EHC plans, and have a clear enhanced DBS that is on the update service.
